HACSJ to Begin Phase III of Sierra Vista Project

In a further expansion of the Housing Authority of San Joaquin’s (HACSJ) efforts to provide quality affordable housing for families throughout the County, Sierra Vista Phase III will continue the work of Sierra Vista Phases I and II. This project consists of 48-units of aged and deteriorating public housing being replaced with 100 to 115 units of modern, energy-efficient affordable housing. Unit sizes of these multi-family homes will range from 500 sq. ft. to 1,600 sq. ft.

Funding for this project is anticipated to come from a HACSJ capital contribution, City of Stockton HOME funds, the City of Stockton’s impact fee waiver program, Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC), and permanent financing. The rents will be subsidized by the Low-Income Public Housing program (LIPH) and Housing Choice Project-Based Vouchers.
