The accountant II is responsible for maintaining fiscal records requiring considerable knowledge of professional accounting principles and practices in a computerized environment. Prepares reports and statements for submission to the Comptroller and Director of Finance. The incumbent is responsible for the analysis and accounting of financial transactions by performing professional bookkeeping and accounting work in the general ledger and vendor accounts payable for the Authority and its affiliate entities. Duties require the use of considerable personal initiative and independent judgement, and the ability to coordinate, input, process, and review data from a number of different sources.

The Center Labor Mechanic is responsible for the general maintenance of the Market Rate/Non-HUD funded properties. Work is performed under the direction of an assigned Supervisor, but many tasks assigned may be routine and repetitive in nature and once learned, they can be carried out under general supervision.

The Program Assistant performs general clerical and administrative work. Work may include data entry, receiving and distributing materials, answering telephones, processing work orders, maintaining files and records, mailing verifications, customer follow-up, answering questions, and generating correspondence.

The Maintenance Worker performs general manual and limited semi-skilled and/or unskilled work in the maintenance and upkeep of the Authority’s buildings and/or grounds. The incumbent is responsible for performing a variety of custodial, maintenance, and grounds keeping tasks.

the Maintenance Technician performs skilled maintenance and repair tasks and installations of Authority buildings, grounds, apartments, and equipment. Individual must demonstrate knowledge of heating, carpentry, painting, electrical and grounds maintenance skills.

The Leasing Specialist is responsible for the coordination and implementation of administrative duties related to HACSJ’s Assisted Housing Programs. Incumbent is responsible for conducting annual, special, and interim re-examination for an assigned caseload, and any other service-related activities for program participants. Performs clerical work which includes data entry, maintaining files and records, mailing verifications, customer follow-up, answering questions and generating correspondence.
